3D Animator (Senior) - Character Animator for Mobile Games

Are you a 3D Animator who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and working in a dynamic collaborative environment? Would you like to be able to make your mark on a project and play a major part in game creation?

Albedo is looking for a talented animator to work on a games character animations such as idles, battle, walk cycles. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of 3ds max and animation fundamentals to deliver fun and interesting animations for pre-rigged characters and creatures.

A solid art foundation and keen visual aesthetic are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Animate 3ds Max pre-rigged CAT character models that match the look and feel of the game world
Create a series of character animations that follow the technical requirements of the Unity engine
Effectively collaborate with the Project Manager and Art Lead to ensure quality and accuracy
Rig and skin any future character assets as we expand on content

REQUIREMENTS
Solid online portfolio displaying your ability to animate characters
2+ years prior experience in related position
Proficiency using 3ds Max for Modelling/Rigging/Skinning to make adjustments and corrections in models if needed
Proficiency using 3ds Max for CAT rigged animations

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
3ds Max
Knowledge in animation, anatomy and pose
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to accept critique, make revisions and push your skills further
Able to work well with others to figure out tasks and solutions, but also work on your own to complete these tasks effectively and efficiently as possible
Background in or experience with gaming (eg. mobile) is an asset

THE COMPANY

Albedo Informatics is a Toronto-based game and application development studio with a focus on location-based gaming, augmented reality and emergent digital technologies.

We’re currently building a platform called LARGE - an acronym for Location-based Augmented Reality Gaming Engine - and are developing a number of apps on the platform; including an AR content creation app and a mobile RPG called SIGIL.
